Dingwire is produced with AI. This page explains what that means in practice: where the material comes from, what the AI does, what we check, and how we fix mistakes.
Sources
- Each market has a fixed list of outlets, chosen to cover a range of editorial perspectives β for China, state-run as well as market-oriented media.
- We keep our own notes on each outlet’s editorial leaning to make sure the mix stays balanced. Those notes are never given to the AI and never shown in posts.
- The list changes when an outlet stops being available. Every post names and links the outlets it used.
- We summarize and link; we never republish articles in full.
How we use AI
- An AI language model reads the articles collected for each edition and writes the English headlines, summaries, comparisons and market read.
- The model is instructed to work only from those articles, and to summarize rather than translate.
- Headlines are English summaries written by the model, not translations of the original headlines. The original article is always one click away.
- The market read is the model’s reading of that day’s coverage. It is not a forecast or a recommendation.
- Market snapshot figures come straight from data providers (such as Yahoo Finance, FRED and CNBC), not from the AI.
Automated checks before publishing
A post is published only if it passes all of these checks:
- Every article link must point to an article we actually collected for that edition. The model cannot add sources of its own.
- Every outlet entry links to its original article.
- No untranslated text, and no empty or malformed links.
- An edition that would go out more than 12 hours late is dropped instead of published late.
Human oversight
Posts are not reviewed one by one by an editor before publication. The operator monitors the pipeline every day and can pause publishing at any time. When we find or are told about an error, we fix it as described below.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrected articles carry a note at the end saying what changed and when. To report an error, email [email protected] with the article URL. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
Independence
No outlet, company or advertiser pays to be covered or to change coverage.
Not investment advice
